Special reminder regarding Wildwood’s Cart Rules...
Please remember, when carts are off the paths, enter the fairways using the 90 degree rule. Carts are not allowed to enter the roughs, unless you have a medical flag, and carts must return to the paths at the black posts.
The Board has asked that we give special attention to the rules for use of golf carts at Wildwood Country Club, particularly those rules that deal with eligibility for and use of a medical flag. For those who wish to be authorized to use a medical flag, you must bring evidence you have a state certified handicap parking permit to the Golf Pro Shop and fill out the Wildwood Medical Flag Permit. Use of the blue flag will not be automatically renewed or extended without that evidence.
The Pro Shop has been granted the authority to issue temporary permits for special circumstances for short-lived or emergency situations for which a state permit might not be appropriate or necessary. One who has a medical flag must still abide by the restrictions specified and is subject to the penalties indicated if those rules are not followed.
The Pro Shop has been charged by the Board to observe and report violations of these rules.
1. To obtain the privileges of using a Wildwood C.C. Medical Flag, Members (including any guests’) must have a state certified Handicap Parking Permit.
2. The Medical Flag Permit must be renewed at the beginning of each year.
3. The use of a Medical Flag is a privilege and misconduct or abusing the rules will result in suspension or loss of your Medical Flag privilege.
4. The Wildwood Golf Course Superintendent will decide if Medical Flags will be allowed on the golf course and if special rules need to be applied that day due to unforeseen circumstances.
5. Cart Procedure Rules:
A. Carts may leave the cart path and travel on the golf course when necessary to go to your golf ball only. (Please use the 90 degree rule and try to avoid any wet areas or areas carts may cause damage to the golf course)
B. Carts may NOT travel in front of the black “return to path” posts.
C. Carts must stay on the path around all the greens and tees.
D. If two Members in the same group have Medical Flag privileges, they MUST ride together.
6. Penalties:
A. First rule breach will be a verbal warning.
B. Second rule breach – a written warning and possible suspension.
C. Third rule breach – loss of all Medical Flag privileges
