A beautiful panaramic view awaits you at the fifth tee. From atop the hill beside the clubhouse, you'll see the 18th hole to your left, as well as the 9th hole to the right. (Be sure to notice the locations of the pins on these holes while you're here - it could save you strokes later.) Hole fourteen plays straight out, down the hill and across the lake. The tee shot offers several options. If you're a big hitter and have a stiff breeze at your back, let it fly - you might reach the green. Otherwise, take a safer route, possibly with a 3 wood, hitting a draw just short and left of the trap. It's a short pitch to the green from here. If you are of average length off the tee, you can start your drive down the left side, either fading it or letting it kick to the right off the hill, back into the fairway. You'll be left with a 9 iron or wedge. Finally, you can hit a long iron into the fat area of the fairway beside the 150 tree, thereby stopping short of (and avoiding) the woods on the right. From there, it's only a 7 or 8 iron to the green. You will want to stay below the pin, however. Hitting past it will leave you a slick, downhill putt that'll break toward the right front of this amply banked green.
